Department of Hard Tissue Surgery

Our hard tissue surgical team is a core technical department fulled of elites and grows along with the development of the hospital which is the source of the hospital's reserve technical force. We mainly carry out craniotomy, spinal neurosurgery, hip resurfacing, complex orthopedics, TPLO and thoracic surgery, etc in the thousand-level operating room and oral surgery in the dental operating room.

Deputy Chief Veterinarian

Orthopedic and imaging specialist, national licensed veterinarian. Graduated from China Agricultural University with Doctor degree. Studied in University of Minnesota, USA, University of Tokyo, Japan. Executive Director of Chinese Veterinary Surgery Association, Executive Director of Obstetrical Society, Executive Director of Small Animal Medical Association. Specializes in orthopedics, nerve, tumor, urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract and other surgical diseases and imaging diagnosis. Supervised more than 10 graduate students. Teached courses include "Basic Anesthesia and Surgery for Dogs and Cats", "Veterinary Imaging", "Veterinary Obstetrics" and "Prevention and Treatment of Small Animal diseases". Has presided over dozens of national and provincial research projects and published more than 20 SQ papers. Edited books (translated) "Small animal anesthesia and Surgery", "Veterinary imaging Experiment Guidance" and "Emergency Medicine"etc.

6 professionals are in our team, including 2 bachelors, 3 masters, 1 doctor. They are entitled in 1 associate chief physician, 3 attending physicians, 3 resident physicians with strong technical force.

Technical advantages

The department is equipped with orthopedic instruments (including instruments required for total hip arthroplasty, trochlear groove replacement and TPLO) and neurosurgical instruments. Now, thousands of hard tissue surgical operations have been completed, most of which are referral cases outside and within the province.

Our department has a wealth of hard tissue surgical diagnosing and treating methods. In recent years, we have accumulated a lot of experiences in the treatment of orthopedic diseases. Our hospital often receives difficult orthopedic cases referred by other animal hospitals, which are highly recognized after treatment.
