Oncology-dermatology department

Our department is a renowned and thriving clinical section for small animal patients who have unfortunately suffered from tumor or skin diseases in Eastern China to receive a professional and heart-warming medical care. We can manage a lot of common and complicated diseases like ringworm, malassezia dermatitis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, candidiasis, hookworm dermatitis, tick infection, demodicosis, scabies, cheyletiellosis, flea infection, lice infection, myiasis, fly bite dermatitis, feline sarcoma virus infection, feline calicivirus infection, papillomas, leishmaniasis, urticaria, angioedema, atopic dermatitis, food allergy, contact allergy, flea bite allergy, mosquito bite allergy, pemphigus, lupus erythematosus, canine pattern baldness, canine uveodermatologic syndrome, cutaneous drug adverse reaction, erythema multiforme, toxic epidermal necrolysis, vasculitis, hypothyroidism.

Deputy Chief Veterinarian

Dr. Wang has graduated and obtained her master degree of Clinical Veterinary Medicine from China Agricultural University since 2011, and she is committed to care and cure animals for more than 10 years since then. She is now a deputy chief veterinarian and the deputy director of the outpatient department in Zhejiang University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She is an expert of small animal internal medicine, oncology as well as dermatology. She has been giving professional medical lectures around the country since 2014. She has published several articles frequently andparticipated in the translation of several professor books.

Personnel structure

We currently have six doctors in our department, including one deputy chief veterinarian. Three of them have Master’s degrees, and the other three have Bachelor’s degrees.

Our department are absolutely qualified to operate multiple advanced diagnostic techniques include serum allergen test, intradermal skin testing, fungal fluoroscopy, culture and sensitivity test, fine needle aspirtation and biopsy, etc. Other than the above diagnostic techniques, we can also provide numerous standardized and novel treatment options for our patients like liquid nitrogen cryosurgery, otic endoscopy, elimination diet trial, allergen-specific immunotherapy, chemotherapy, antitumor immunotherapy, antitumor gene therapy, etc. Without doubt, we indeed have a superior competence and occupy leading position in our major in Eastern China.
